SSH is a network protocol by which you can connect to a remote computer like say the cloud server using the command-line interface. It uses a cryptography structure for authentication as well as the work session and hence is preferable in comparison to the other protocols that are available in remote administration Linux/Unix systems.

You must login to your r3esolution account using the Putty SSH client. To connect to the cloud server with a Linux operating system you just need to use the SSH command and enter your Hostname or IP address of the cloud server. You will be asked to enter the password of the cloud server which will authenticate your access. You can then perform all the SSH commands to run on your cloud server.

In case you wish to connect to your cloud server with Windows operating system, there are many clients like OpenSSH, WinSCP, PuTTY of which PuTTY is the most popular.

Run PuTTY in the "Session" and configure the hostname/IP address with the Public IP that is associated to the cloud server. Click on "Open" to create a new window with a command-line interface where you must log in with root prompt and press enter. You will be asked for a password which is the same which you created for your cloud server. Once the password is recognized and authentication made, you can log into your cloud server and perform all the SSH commands and run your server.
